When the topic of Fashion Week pops into one’s brain, one would be prompted to think about tall and lanky models wearing clothes that look more like elaborate costumes designed for middle-aged men and women. Though the clothes may still be high-end and pricy, some designers are ridding their unrealistic clothing ideas and creating outfits to appeal to the tastes of young men and women around the world.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is held biannually at the Lincoln Center in the fashion capital of North America, New York City. This event brings the fashion industry together to showcase their newest trends for the year ahead. So far, designers like BCBGMAXAZRIA, Rebecca Minkoff, Charlotte Ronson, and DKNY have made their Spring 2014 designs to charm the likes of young adults with their colorful, yet simple designs.
These designers have created everyday looks that are casual, yet sophisticated, and simple, yet glamorous. Models strutting the runway in these hot fashions are not only showcasing the new look for the new season, but the movement of a time from intricate attire for older people to quirky garments for the youth.
